With the all-new electric VLE, Mercedes-Benz introduces a vehicle that combines the comfort and refinement of a limousine with exceptional interior space and flexibility. With room for up to eight adults in highly flexible, full-size seats, the VLE adapts to every journey and its requirements. The electrically adjustable seats can be easily moved via app and head unit (Remote Variable Rear Space). Rear passengers can also individually adjust their seating position using dedicated controls. The manually operated seats feature four integrated wheels and can be effortlessly moved along the rails, locked in position, or easily removed and, via Roll & Go,⁴ rolled into the garage.

Depending on the selected specification, the VLE is equipped with three seating rows and provides generous cargo capacity. With an overall length of 215.9 inches, if all seats are removed, the VLE boasts up to 152 cubic feet of cargo space, providing ample space for luggage or sporting equipment.

The Grand Limousine embodies a completely new design with a low, streamlined silhouette and iconic aesthetics. This results in outstanding aerodynamics, with a drag coefficient of just 0.25. Combined with remarkably low energy consumption and impressive range, it sets a new benchmark for real-world electric mobility.

The 203 kW VLE 300 electric, with a WLTP range of more than 700 kilometers¹⁵, features an electric drive unit with a permanently excited synchronous motor (PSM) on the front axle. The VLE 400 4MATIC with 310 kW is considered the performance-oriented model. With an additional powerful electric motor on the rear, it sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.4 seconds. Both models feature a new NMC battery with a usable energy content of 115 kWh. Thanks to 800-volt technology, the VLE can charge at more than 300 kW, adding up to 355 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes¹⁶. Low energy consumption and ultra-fast charging make long-distance travel remarkably time-efficient and effortless.

Sublime ride comfort: AIRMATIC turns every journey into a serene experience
With AIRMATIC air suspension, the VLE delivers truly sublime ride comfort. Maintaining constant ground clearance regardless of load, the system adapts continuously to road conditions. Each wheel features independent damping, allowing the vehicle to absorb speed bumps, potholes and uneven surfaces with ease. Every journey becomes a serene experience.

At speeds above 68 mph, the system automatically lowers the vehicle by 0.5 inches, reducing aerodynamic drag, increasing efficiency and improving driving stability. In "Sport" mode, customers can lower the ride height manually by approximately 0.5 inches. At a standstill, the vehicle can be lowered by up to 1.5 inches for easier entry and exit. On uneven or unpaved roads, it can be raised by the same amount to increase ground clearance. For the first time, this adjustment can also be controlled by voice command, for example by saying: "Lower vehicle level".

Urban agility with effortless precision: compact turning circle thanks to rear-axle steering
Rear-axle steering gives the VLE exceptional agility for a vehicle of its size. With a steering angle of up to seven degrees, it boasts impressive stability at high speeds, during quick lane changes and in sudden evasive maneuvers. In the city, rear-axle steering reduces the curb-to-curb turning circle to just 37.5 feet¹⁷ – comparable to the Mercedes-Benz CLA, and tight enough to turn within the space of a tennis court. This makes parking in tight spaces, turning in narrow streets and navigating busy city traffic significantly easier and more comfortable. Drivers also benefit from a more direct steering ratio, requiring fewer turns of the wheel from straight-ahead to full lock.

Thanks to the AI-powered Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), the VLE features the latest MBUX with intuitive and personal control. A retractable, 31.3‑inch panoramic display is integrated into the headliner above the front seats. The VLE features electric sliding doors on both sides with optional HANDS-FREE Access, allowing passengers to enter and exit quickly and safely without having to walk around the vehicle or requiring the driver to turn around. This is especially helpful in tight city streets. The sliding doors include fully retractable windows and an intelligent safety function that stops movement if an obstacle is detected. Just as practical as the doors is the separately opening rear window which provides convenient access to the cargo area – perfect for tight parking spaces where there is limited space to open the full tailgate. For added convenience, the electric EASY-PACK tailgate is standard.

Room for all: more versatility than ever before
The VLE is the epitome of versatility and comfort. Seating configurations from six to eight passengers are available, offering exceptional flexibility to match every preference and need. Customers can choose from three newly developed individual seat types in the rear: Comfort Seat (manual), Premium Comfort Seat (electric), and Grand Comfort Seat, the latter with an additional pillow, wireless charging, lumbar support with a massage function and calf support (electric).  In addition to individual seats, two three‑seat comfort benches—available in manual or electric versions—provide even more layout options. Flexible seating: manual Roll & Go²⁰ or remote controlled "seat ballet"
The new Roll & Go system offers a convenient way to move and remove the manually operated seats. Customers can move and fold the seats and benches forwards and backwards with minimal effort and lock them in position. They are also removable in any position, enabling customers to quickly and easily create a cargo space to suit their specific requirements. When removed, the seats can easily be rolled into the garage on their integrated four wheels.

A unique feature in this segment is the ability to configure the seating layout remotely. Thanks to MB.OS, all electrically adjustable rear seats and benches can be moved via the infotainment system, the seat control buttons in the side wall panels or via the Mercedes-Benz App, almost like choreographing a ballet. Titled "Remote Variable Rear Space," this feature redefines the intelligent use of space. There are four pre-defined configurations available:

A wide range of packages and options allows customers to refine the VLE’s interior and the exterior to their individual preferences and lifestyles.  For the U.S. market, models are offered with a highly comprehensive standard equipment specification, complemented by select optional packages that further enhance comfort, technology and design. These packages follow familiar Mercedes-Benz passenger car nomenclature, including available Exclusive Package and Pinnacle Package offerings. Support in Almost Every Driving Situation: The Advanced MB.DRIVE Systems

To provide first-class driving assistance¹⁹, the all-new VLE is equipped with 10 external cameras, 5 radar sensors, 12 ultrasonic sensors, along with a water-cooled supercomputer processor powered by the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS). This exceptionally powerful control unit is capable of up to 254 tera operations per second (TOPs). Artificial intelligence algorithms, trained on large volumes of fleet data, process the raw sensor data to build a detailed understanding of the surrounding traffic environment. The VLE offers extensive safety and assistance systems¹⁹ such as a rear-view camera, Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Lane-keeping assistance, Maneuvering Assist and Evasive Steering Function Plus, which can help the driver to steer around objects or other vehicles within the vehicle’s own lane.  Additional driver assistance features are available to further support steering, braking, acceleration and parking functions, depending on vehicle specification and configuration. Advanced parking assistance: effortless maneuvering and parking
MB.DRIVE²² supports the driver by detecting available parking spaces on both sides of the vehicle from a distance, including spaces without clearly marked lines. For the first time, it also enables diagonal parking. In addition, the system can assist with both parking and exiting a parking space – even if the vehicle was initially parked manually. Parking maneuvers are supported at speeds of up to 3mph.

MB.DRIVE PARKING ASSIST 360 enhances maneuvering with new and improved surround views provided by its 360-degree camera and an improved user interface. A 3D surround view features an animated or transparent 3D vehicle model, showing real-time information, such as brake lights, indicators, open doors, mirror position and the exact rotation and steering angle of every wheel. The Digital Extra²³ "Rim Protection Warning" function adds a top‑view distance indicator while maneuvering to help prevent damage to the wheels.

The Digital Extra²³ "Reverse Maneuvering Function" allows the vehicle to automatically reverse along a section of the route it has just travelled for up to 490 feet with the system taking control of lateral guidance, provided certain conditions are met. During operation, the main screen displays the reversing camera image together with a graphic visualization of the planned route. This is particularly helpful in situations, where turning around is not possible.

Comprehensive safety from the ground up
Driver assistance systems are designed to help reduce the likelihood of accidents across a wide range of situations. With PRE-SAFE®, Mercedes‑Benz vehicles can initiate preventative measures before a potential collision occurs. However, should an accident occur, the crumple zones and the exceptionally rigid passenger cell and restraint systems are designed to help mitigate the effects. These systems include up to 11 airbags, as well as adjustable head restraints and seat belts with belt tensioners and force limiters, which are also found in the rear at all outer seats.
