Mercedes-Benz Highlights at the 2017 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS)

Mercedes-Benz is pleased to announce the world and/or U.S. premiere of five new vehicles at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show:

Mercedes-Benz GLA/Mercedes-AMG GLA45 Facelift – World Premiere The newly redesigned GLA is starting the 2018 model year with targeted visual accentuation in the interior and exterior design and updated equipment. This sees the look of the compact SUV gaining a significantly more powerful design. At the pinnacle of the model series is the Mercedes-AMG GLA45, with an especially sporty host of equipment being offered by the AMG Performance Studio Package.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe – World Premiere No Embargo

With its expressive proportions, clear and sensual design and long-distance comfort for four people, the new E-Class Coupe combines the beauty and classic virtues of a grand tourer with state-of-the-art technology. It also offers the intelligence of the E-Class family with full smartphone integration, a widescreen cockpit and the many of the Intelligent Drive and driver assistance capabilities that debuted on the E-Class Sedan and Wagon variants. A powerful and efficient 3.0L V6 biturbo engine and comfortable suspensions with selective damping guarantee a sporty and agile driving experience.

More Sports Cars from Mercedes-AMG on 50th Anniversary
Mercedes-AMG celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2017. To the theme of "50 Years of Driving Performance," the performance brand is marking the occasion by extending the AMG GT family of sports cars with the new Mercedes-AMG GT C Coupe, which will join the previously-announced AMG GT C Roadster upon its reveal at the 2017 North American International Auto Show. Positioned between the AMG GT S and AMG GT R, the new vehicle will initially be available exclusively as a special Edition 50 model. At the same time, the Mercedes-AMG GT and AMG GT S are being visually and technically upgraded while receiving even more power.

The new smart electric drive makes opting into electric mobility more attractive than ever, combining overall agility with emission-free driving as an ideal combination for urban mobility. With this next generation, smart will be the only car manufacturer worldwide to offer its entire model range with both combustion engines and pure battery-electric drive—and the smart electric drive cabrio will be the only cabrio with electric drive.
