Starting in April 2023, Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) will launch the EQS 580 4MATIC Sedan City Edition, a limited series of 150 vehicles that will be available in the greater Los Angeles region. The EQS City Edition builds upon the impressive features of the EQS model range. The EQS City Edition will, for the first time, provide a curated package including charging features, micro-mobility and a connection to the local community.

"This comprehensive bundle offers customers the ability to charge with ease at home and on the road and provides enhanced safety for the local community through key data insights and continued collaboration with regional chapters of Safe Kids Worldwide."
Unique Charging Features
In addition to the standard 2-year unlimited 30-minute free charging sessions on Electrify America's DC network and 2-years of complimentary maintenance, the EQS City Edition adds an impressive new suite of charging features for customers to charge at home and on the road. MBUSA has partnered with ChargePoint to provide each City Edition customer with a promo code for a free ChargePoint Home Flex charger. To make installation simple, the City Edition will include a credit for up to $1,000 with Qmerit for the installation of the charger in the customer's home.
For the first time, Qmerit Concierge is included, providing enhanced support and a dedicated expert who can assist the customer through the installation process. To enhance the charging experience on the road, a $250 credit is added to Mercedes me Charge for public charging on the ChargePoint network. With a 340-mile range combined with these exciting new features, EQS City Edition customers will have enough charge to get where they need to go.
At Urban Mobility Solutions, we believe that mobility is context based and for each situation, there is a best option. To complement the EQS City Edition driving experience, a one-year all-access subscription for the Unagi Model One Voyager electric scooter is provided to each EQS City Edition customer. The Model One has up to 25 miles of range. The one-year all-access subscription includes insurance, maintenance, and a Model One Voyager in the customer's choice of color.
Data for Good
Mercedes-Benz Urban Mobility Solutions is both citizen and city centric. The EQS sedan contains hundreds of advanced sensors that are part of driver assistance systems and contribute to the driving experience and improve safety. When customers consent to share anonymized data, they can actively be a part of helping shape real-world improvements. Mercedes-Benz has partnered with cities in the U.S. and Europe to utilize this expertise to provide insights that can lead to fewer accidents and identify areas of concern such as potholes.
Donation to Safe Kids Worldwide
Mercedes-Benz Urban Mobility Solutions believes that the car can give back to the community as well. Mercedes-Benz USA is a national partner of Safe Kids Worldwide which is dedicated to preventing injuries and keeping families and communities safe. With each EQS 580 City Edition sold, MBUSA will donate to a local Safe Kids California coalition.
Additional Vehicle Features
Each EQS City edition is fitted with a unique badge on the exterior and center console of the car to highlight the exclusivity of this special model. To commemorate the first ever launch in Southern California, the badge artwork features the outline of the state of California and indicates the vehicle is one of only 150 units.
The City Edition comes in two designer curated selections. The first selection is finished in MANUFAKTUR Diamond White Metallic paint with Macchiato Beige and Space Grey Leather. The second selection is finished in Twilight Blue Metallic paint with Neva Grey and Sable Brown Leather. Both come with Natural Grain Yacht-design Walnut Wood trim. On the exterior, sporty AMG wheels complete the look.
The EQS City Edition is equipped standard with Energizing Air Control Plus with HEPA filtration. The 3-stage air filtration system can remove 99 percent of particulate pollution similar to an operating room. Activated charcoal filtration also helps remove ultrafine particles, smog and odors from the cabin air. The vehicle also includes Dashcam, among a wealth of other features.
