Technical Highlights

• Zero Layer: With the new zero-layer feature, the user no longer needs to scroll through sub-menus or give voice commands, as the most important applications are always available in a situational and contextual way at the top of the driver's field of vision.
• Navigation with Electric Intelligence: The system plans the fastest and most convenient route, including charging stops based on numerous factors and reacts dynamically to traffic situations or changes in driving style. It includes all relevant data in route calculation, from topography and energy demand to driving speed and heating and cooling requirements.
• Rear-Axle Steering: With standard rear-axle steering, the AMG EQE is as maneuverable as a compact car. The steering angle at the rear axle is up to 3.6 degrees, allowing impressive maneuverability and agility on narrow city streets. At the same time the handling benefits from a virtual extension of the wheelbase at higher speeds:
• This extraordinary maneuverability and agility is also achieved by combining the rear-axle steering with a more direct front-axle steering ratio.
• Integrated actuation of the steering and brakes makes handling even more precise and stable in dynamic situations.
• AMG SOUND EXPERIENCE offers a unique sound experience for AMG EQE customers with "Authentic" and available "Performance" sound programs available in three variants each: "Balanced", "Sport" and "Powerful". Tonality and intensity is tuned to the current driving style, selected drive program or the driver's preference, both inside and out.
• AMG DYNAMIC SELECT: Driving dynamics can be tailored at the touch of a button with five selectable drive programs – "Slippery", "Comfort", "Sport", "Sport+" and "Individual". The programs include parameters such as drive and performance characteristics, suspension settings, steering, and AMG SOUND EXPERIENCE are included in the selected drive program accordingly.
• Driver Assistance Systems (all systems standard): The AMG EQE is standard-equipped with the latest driver assistance technology including intelligent hands-off detection. The Driver Assistance Package includes:
• Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC® is an adaptive cruise control system that is able to automatically adjust your set speed for traffic ahead.
• with Route-Based Speed Adaptation: the vehicle is able to reduce the speed in anticipatory mode by referencing map data ahead of curves, junctions, roundabouts, toll booths and exit roads.
• Active Stop-and-Go Assist is able to keep the vehicle within the lane and maintain a safe distance with a high level of availability at speeds up to 35 mph. With the extended restart function, the vehicle can restart automatically up to one minute after coming to a stop.
• Active Steering Assist generates steering torque which helps the driver to stay in the center of the lane on straight roads and slight bends, taking its guidance from vehicles ahead and lane markings
• with Active Emergency Stop Assist: brakes the vehicle to a stop in a controlled manner when the system recognizes that the driver is distracted for a longer period or cannot intervene.
• and Active Lane Change Assist: assists the driver in a convenient and cooperative manner when making lane changes.
• Active Brake Assist with Cross-Traffic Function is able to help the driver avoid impending collisions with vehicles ahead, or when turning across the oncoming lane, the system will also assist with stationary or crossing vehicles and pedestrians, if the driver fails to take action quickly enough.
• Turn-off function of Active Brake Assist: activation of Active Brake Assist with Cross-Traffic Assist when turning across the opposite lane. If there is a risk of collision when turning across the path of oncoming vehicles, the vehicle will be braked when traveling at low speeds.
• Active Speed Limit Assist with Traffic Sign Assist utilizes map data and information from Traffic Sign Assist to automatically adapt the vehicle's speed.
• Active Blind Spot Assist is able to provide the driver with a visual alert, plus an audible alarm when a turn indicator is activated, to warn the driver if another vehicle is detected in the blind spot area. It can also help avoid a collision by single-sided braking if a lane change is still attempted with an obstacle in the blind spot.
• with Exit Warning: offers enhanced protection when getting out of the car, a visual warning for passengers displayed in the exterior mirror if a car or bicycle is driving past the vehicle. If the driver tries to open the door, an additional audible warning sound and ambient door lighting will start to flash red.
• Active Lane Keeping Assist is able to warn the driver by means of vibrations of the steering wheel when the vehicle is unintentionally drifting out of its lane. If the vehicle passes over a solid line, or a dashed line when opposing traffic is detected, this system can pull the vehicle back into its lane by applying the brakes on one side.
• Car-to-X Communication is a system in which the vehicle simultaneously acts as a receiver and transmitter, conveying warning messages and evaluating driving conditions, effectively allowing the driver to "see" much further down the road.
• Active Parking Assist with PARTRONIC and Surround View System make it possible to enter and leave parallel and end-on parking spaces automatically.
• PRE-SAFE® PLUS with PRE-SAFE® Sound activates the PRE-SAFE safety measures when a collision from behind is imminent as well as applying the brakes when the vehicle is at a standstill in order to prevent subsequent accidents. PRE-SAFE® Sound emits a short interference signal if an imminent collision is detected, triggering a protective reflex in the human ear referred to as the "stapedius reflex," which can help reduce hearing loss in the event of an accident.
